Halfway into 2011 from KARA, BEAST, MBLAQ, and Jang Geun Suk this year continues to be one of the most successful years Korean artists have had in entering the Japanese market, and releasing their 2nd album earlier last week, BIG BANG is the latest to hit the record books.
After small setbacks last year with their "Beautiful Hangover" single failing to crack the Top 5 like previous releases, 2011 is proving to be new beginnings for Big Bang with their success on the charts, charting no.1 on Oricon's Weekly Charts with their album "BIG BANG 2".
"BIG BANG 2" was not only able to chart no.1 consecutively for 5 days selling over 65,000 copies, but in doing so they knocked Japanese veteran artist Namie Amuro off the top spot, after nearly topping the charts for 3rd straight week.
