MBLAQ Has First Japanese Fan Event

from gokpop
Boyband, MBLAQ, successfully debuted in Japan with their single "Your Luv", which grabbed the second spot on the Oricon Weekly Chart. Earlier this month over 46,000 gathered for a CD release event, and on May 26th, more than 5,400 screaming fans came out for MBALQ's first Japanese fan meeting at Zepp Tokyo.
As soon as MBLAQ appeared, the venue broke out into a loud cheer. The group began performing with their debut single "Oh Yeah". Lee Joon's vocals and ab flexing sent the crowd into a frenzy. Then the boys got the crowd moving with their second single "Y".

During the talking segment of the fan event, fans got to see exclusive pictures and went crazy a second time during each member's commentary.
Afterwards, MBLAQ performed the songs "Again", "Stay" and "You're My+" from their first full-length album, "BLAQ Style".
Mir wrote the lyrics to "You're My+" with fans in mind. So of course when he sang it, fangirls became giddy as the maknae's song reached deep into their hearts.
After the fans recovered, each member gave solo performances. G.O. sang a cover of Japanese artist, Yutaka Ozaki's "I LOVE YOU", and Seung Ho and Cheon Dung went toe to toe in a dance battle. One fan got a treat when she was invited onto the stage to have Lee Joon sing a song just for her. The venue filled with nervous shrieks.

The event ended with MBLAQ singing their debut Japanese single "Your Luv" and one of its coupling tracks, "Daijoubu".
MBLAQ also shared their thoughts on their Japanese fans...
Seung Ho
I was really happy that everyone gave us a warm welcome. We will not forget what we set out to do and will keep at it.
G.O.
They had really good manners and followed the rules. I was impressed by all the fans.
Lee Joon
Although we still have a long way to go, everyone supported us and we can return it with our persistence.
Cheon Dung
I'm glad the fans received us better than I expected.
Mir
I couldn't participate in the other meeting, but being with the other members at this fan meeting was a lot of fun.

Big Bang's TOP is not only a charismatic rapper with great presence, he is also carving quite the acting career before him. He has acted before with performances like in the drama "I Am Sam," or with fellow Big Bang member in the movie "19."
But when TOP acted in the movie "Into The Fire," his acting career took a new direction. In the movie he was acting with big names, all of which had so many nice things to say about him. Many were not surprised to see him flourish in his role and critics have raved about his emotional performance. In the acting world, you know you have achieved a level of respect and recognition when you win awards for your acting and TOP is definitely one of these people.
Last November he won the "Best Male Rookie" award at the Blue Dragon Film Awards, but on May 26th at the 47th BaekSeng Art Awards at Kyung Hee University he didn't just win one, but two awards! His performance as a student soldier in "Into The Fire" is certainly getting him recognition.
He won the "Best New Actor" award and about this win he said,
“I’m very thankful. The movie, ‘Into the Fire’ gave me a lot of chances so I’m very thankful. I also have to thank President Yang Hyun Suk, the director for ‘Into the Fire’, Kim Seung Woo, Kwon Sang Woo, Cha Seung Won sunbae-nims, and to all the student soldier sunbaes who gave me endless advice. It made me work hard to not fall behind, and aspire myself to become a better actor."
The, after that he won the "Most Popular" award and had this to say,
“I also want to thank my BIGBANG members, as well as all my friends in my fan club who give me enormous amounts of strength. This award is also dedicated to you.”
It's not easy to transition from singer to actor or vice versa, not many people will take your seriously, but if there was anyone with doubts about TOP acting before, that's certainly silenced now!
