Indovision and Celestial Movies Channel Bring Chinese Superstar Han Geng to Indonesia

Jakarta, 15th September – Great news for fans of Asian movies and music, especially ELFs and Gengfans! Indovision and Celestial Movies Channel have teamed up to bring Chinese superstar Han Geng to Indonesia. The dazzling pop idol and rising movie star is visiting Jakarta and Surabaya 21-24 September to promote his movie MY KINGDOM, now playing in movie theaters in Indonesia.

“I have heard so much about Indonesia and the kindness of the Indonesian people so I am very excited to be making my first trip there. I can’t wait to meet all my Indonesian fans and thank them for their support. I also hope to raise awareness for My Kingdom which I hope more audiences in Indonesia will go to see,” said Han Geng enthusiastically about his visit to Indonesia.

During his time in Jakarta and Surabaya, Han Geng will participate in media interviews, orphanage visit, mall event appearance and also special TV program appearance.

Han Geng has been dubbed “Dancing King” and “King of Popularity in China” due to his powerful dance skills and his training in 56 ethnic Chinese traditional dances, in addition to ballet and hip-hop dance. The 2008 Olympic Torch barrier started his career and gained worldwide fame as a member of South Korean boy band SUPER JUNIOR and became the leader of its sub-group Super Junior-M. After leaving Super Junior in 2009, he returned to China to pursue a solo career, and has not stopped since. Han Geng’s first concert was sold out within 37 minutes and his diehard fans of all age and gender continue to grow year after year. In fact, his fanclub: Gengfan, now has sub-clubs called Sister Fans (Gengfans older than him), Gengknights (male Gengfans) and Mother Fans (Gangfans who are mothers).

After various guest and cameo appearances in TV programs, series and films, Han Geng is making his movie screen debut in a starring role in MY KINGDOM, a martial arts action drama set in 1920’s Shanghai. A tale of two brothers’ quest for fame, love and revenge, MY KINGDOM also stars fellow pop idol Wu Chun, and movie star Barbie Hsu. The story blends martial arts onstage and offstage with a suspense-filled love story defying the genre of martial arts movies today.

So catch Han Geng in Jakarta and Surabaya next week: Sept 21-24! More information will be coming soon, check Indovision’s website: www.indovision.tv or Celestial Movies’ Facebook Fan Page Jagoan Film Asia or MY KINGDOM’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/dawusheng) for updates.
